Dreamy Northwestern Wedding

Kate and Kyle had the prettiest summer wedding.
We met up with Kate at her Evanston hotel room, where she was wearing the most lovely Edwardian slip. It was necessary for us to make her portrait wearing this before she put on her wedding dress.
Kyle picked out the spot for their first meeting. It was on the campus of Northwestern, where he went to school. The Shakespeare garden, the “secret garden” he called it, was the perfect secluded place to meet his beautiful bride. Kyle then gave us a tour of all the gorgeous spots and other secret gardens Northwestern has hidden. We were transported to a place of beautiful stone arches, ivy walls, hidden benches where couples can be alone, simply by turning a forgotten corner.
The ceremony was only blocks away, so we all walked to the beautiful Alice Millar chapel. The stunning chapel with it’s stained glass and colored light was a perfect reflection of the couple’s love. Kyle grew up on the North shore, so after the ceremony, we drove to Glencoe beach for more portraits. The sun was setting and the water was still which made for the most gorgeous light. Then the happy couple drove to Francesca’s North for dinner with friends and family and a very fun informal reception.
Congratulations to Kate and Kyle!
