Wedding Luncheon

July 1, 2013 § Leave a comment

Jessica and Alex had a untraditional wedding.

Instead of having a big wedding in one location that all their guests would have to travel to, they decided to be the ones to board the plane. They are New Yorkers who were married in San Francisco, had a party there, and also had a wedding luncheon in Chicago. Loaded in their luggage were fifty black and white cookies with their initials on them. How those got through security we’ll never know.

The couple and about fifty guests came to The Glen Club for lunch, dancing and a whole bunch of fun. We spent a bit of time getting to know the couple while photographing them on the golf course and really finding spots that did not look like a golf course. Luckily, a wonderful gardner planted a field of wildflowers and a small grove of birch trees that we could play in. The remainder of the day was filled with dancing, music and their families getting to know each other better.

We are so glad to have shared this intimate event with Jessica and Alex, best wishes to the happy couple! (and thanks for the cookies!)
