Lincoln Square Engagement Session

They wanted to get comfortable with being photographed.

Tim and Emily asked to “avoid cutesy-poo photos” and learn to be photographed with ease. So we met with them in Lincoln Square on a warm summer day. We picked up some heart shaped cookies- not really to go cutsey-poo (Tim’s awesomely hillarious words), but to break the ice. We explained that sometimes we ask our sitters to do silly things, not necessarily for those pictures, but to break the ice and start at fun to get somewhere authentic. After some urban pics under the el tracks and some colorful murals, we headed to a romantic spot by the river. Then at the couples’ request, we went to a nearby comic book shop that had these awesome murals of the Avengers. It was a cool end to a hot day!
